Why Green Vegetables?
Ayurveda offers different types of cleanses to remove toxins from your body while making you feel light, energetic and strong. Among these, diet cleanses are considered the most gentle on the body. Therefore, one of the simple ways of cleansing your body is to include more green vegetables in your diet, since they have the ability extract toxins from your cells, tissues and organs. A popular way to include these vegetables is by making a round of delicious green smoothies.
Some examples of green vegetables include celery, broccoli, green beet leaves, spinach and much more. When you’re choosing from these green vegetables, always refer back to your body type, since green vegetables will offer different benefits for different body types. Increasing the number of green vegetables you consume will:
- Help to remove more toxins from your body
- Cool your body, especially during the summer seasons. Remember, consuming more raw vegetables will result in the increasing of Vata
